Take a rail trail that stretches 165 miles, meanders through 5 counties, cuts through a couple dozen towns and cities, and has history going back to America’s earliest days. Now pack it all in an educational and entertaining 120-page guidebook that fits in a crowded backpack. That was the challenge of creating the Delaware & Lehigh Trail Guide. It traces the canal and rail system that ignited the American Industrial Revolution right here in our own backyard through time and geography. We created colorful, easy-to-read maps to help people navigate the trail from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol, Pa., while telling stories that bring the region’s history to life. Even if you read it from your couch, you’ll feel like you’re on an interesting journey.
